Buchanan Castle Golf Club

Buchanan Castle Golf Club is a special tranquil place providing an almost tangible tonic to the system. It is one of Scotland’s hidden golfing splendours nestling in the foothills of the Scottish Highlands, close to Loch Lomond and the picturesque village of Drymen – only half an hour from Glasgow city centre.

It is a truly top class Scottish golf course designed by James Braid in 1936 offering players of all levels an intriguing but fair golfing challenge. The course lies on the plain of the River Endrick with magnificent scenic backdrops which include Ben Lomond, the Highlands and Luss Hills.Buchanan Castle Estate is a unique setting for the golf club. Discover the historical ruins of Buchanan Castle within the estate, which is forested by every tree native to Western Europe- five different types of Oak and several soaring Pacific Coast Redwoods.

Wine and dine in the relaxing atmosphere of the newly refurbished clubhouse which houses historical paintings of the Dukes of Montrose and also racehorses from a time when the Montrose family had links to horseracing. Sample it for yourself-get out of the fast lane for a few hours and join us at the club. After a bite of lunch, we’ll show you around and tell you about membership. Join us for a round – just tell those who need to know you’re on a ‘quality time management course’ – or better still, bring them with you!
